3rdJanuary 2012. Bonnie safely delivered a litter of 13. She had 7 does and 6 bucks. A mixture of cinnamon agouti and topaz berkshire,variegated and capped! She is being a very relaxed efficient mum!
December 2011.Happy 3rd Birthday Cheddar!!! He still has a very hearty appetite and although his legs are not so good as they used to be he still gets around!
22nd October 2011-This has been possibly the saddest month here at Zappa Rattery. We lost Roxy to a possible ZGT then Billie to old age, followed by the unexpected loss of Tallulah our beloved doe from our first litter due to a Pituitary tumour. Tallulah never had a litter for us but we have plenty of relatives for her lovely gentle nature to live on.
15th October 2011.-The day of the new Theale show. Zappa Moon Umit (Luna) won 'Best Pet'!! Really pleased with this result as for us making good pets is very important. We also took home 'Best Novice' for the first time and 7 other rosettes!
10th September 2011- We had an excellent day at the Romsey show today with Zappa Total Eclipse of the Heart (Bonnie) coming home with the 'Best Opposite Age' rosette! I also thoroughly enjoyed pet judging!
17th July 2011 -Zappa Marble Cake gave birth to 18 kittens. She has had 9 does and 9 bucks. Well done Marble! Pictured here is Zappa Chaka Zulu.
10th July 2011- HKM I got the Magic in Me, gave birth to 15 kittens. 14 surviving. She is being a good mum so far!
21 st December 2010.-Zappa Apple Crumble gave birth to 15 kittens. Mum and kittens doing well.
14th December 2010.-HKM Lyra gave birth to 6 kittens. 4 Bucks and 2 Does.
27th June 2010-We finally have a litter! It wasn't the litter we thought would be our next litter, but HKM Maggie May gave birth to 9 healthy babies. The sire for this litter was Coastboat Bramley. Unfortunately Tallulah lost her litter at term, so we are very pleased that we decided to mate Maggie too!
21st May 2010-We returned Bunker to Coastboat rattery-many thanks to Jo for lending him to us. We collected Coastboat Bramley and Pip on loan from Katie van Zyl. They have settled in brilliantly and have taken it all in their stride, despite the heat! Bramley is to be mated to Zappa Tallulah.
6th May 2010 - It looks like the next Zappa Rattery litter is on its way. Hellstorm Bunker has come to stay to sire a litter, on loan from Jo McGregor at Coastboat Rattery.
27th February 2010 - We went to the Boscombe Down NFRS * show where Zappa Cotton Eye Joe got awarded Best Opposite Age at just 7 weeks and gained his first two stars. See shows page for more details. Zappa Peggy and Topsy Turvy left for their new homes in Somerset and Cheltenham.
20th February 2010 Zappa Flubby and Beano went to live with Josephine and her girls in Surrey and Zappa Chablis and Shiraz went to live with Sarah and Dan in Crawley. We wish them well in their super new homes!
9th January 2010 Hakuna Matata Maggie May and Halcyon Two of a Kind had a litter of nine kittens late on the Saturday afternoon. Mum is looking after them really well and they are growing by the hour. Pictures found on Litters page.
12th September 2009 our Hakuna Matata babies have arrived! We are very happy to add five new babies to Zappa Rattery. This picture is of Billie and Maggie at 6 weeks old.
25th June 2009 Hellstorm Deja Vu and Halcyon Two of a Kind came to live with us. Thanks to Hakuna Matata Stud for providing us with these lovely bucks!
