About

Our primary aim is to breed healthy, well temperamented rats. Our rats are first and foremost pets. Any rat who has health problems or undesirable personality traits won't be bred from. We keep records of all of our rats and we will be in touch to be updated on the progress of our kittens. This will help us improve our future rats and provide us with useful feedback! Zappa rattery does not condone unnecessary culling of adults or kittens. Our rats are well socialised with children and are used to other pets too!

Ethics and Aims

All potential homes will be asked to fill in an application form, in order for us to get to know you better.

*Kittens will be homed on PET ONLY contracts unless previously discussed and agreed.

*We will home kittens in same sex pairs or trios only (rats don't like living alone), unless you already have a similar aged kitten.

*We will provide as much information about your kittens' pedigree as we know.

*Kittens will not be homed until they are at least 6 weeks old.

*If you can no longer keep our rats for what ever reason they must be returned to us.We can then try and find them a new home or decide to keep them here.

We will not always have kittens available, but we maybe able to put you in touch with other local breeders if you are unable to wait.
